Jonah Winter�s first picture book was Diego, the story of Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. Illustrated by his mother, Jeanette Winter, it was named one of the hundred best American children�s books of the twentieth century by the Ruminator Review. He has since written many picture book biographies, with subjects including Dizzy Gillespie, Frida Kahlo, and Gilbert & Sullivan, among many others. A poet and a painter as well as a children�s book author, Jonah lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
