
Jonah Winter Jonah Winter’s first picture book was Diego, the story of Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. Illustrated by his mother, Jeanette Winter, it was named one of the hundred best American children’s books of the twentieth century by the Ruminator Review. His other books include Fair Ball!: 14 Great Stars From Baseball’s Negro Leagues and Once Upon a Time in Chicago The Story of Benny Goodman. A poet and a painter as well as a children’s book author, Jonah lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
