Anne Mazer is sometimes very serious. In such a mood, she wrote The Oxboy, an ALA Notable Book, and The Salamander Room. She was also fairly serious when she collected the stories for America Street and Going Where I'm Coming From. The seriousness started to break down when she wrote The Accidental Witch and The Fixits. Now perhaps she has fully reverted to her true comic nature with The No-Nothings and Their Baby. Her neighbors are concerned.
