Karlijn Stoffels

Karlijn Stoffels (pronounced Kar-line Staw-fulls) wrote her first play in second grade. It was called "Misunderstanding," and it was a great success, even though she had to leap on stage to tell the actors not to forget their lines. As an adult, she has published eleven novels for young readers, though Heartsinger is the first to be translated into English.

She lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, but if you can't make it there, you can visit her website at www.karlijnstoffels.com.
