Luis Sepúlveda

Luis Sepúlveda was born in northern Chile but was exiled because of his political activities in the students’ movement. He is the author of short stories, novellas, plays, radio plays, and essays, which, including his first children’s book, The Story of a Seagull and the Cat Who Taught Her To Fly, are published in more than thirty countries. Mr. Sepúlveda and his family lived in Germany for ten years, and since 1997, have made their home in Gijón, Spain.
