Roddy Doyle


Roddy Doyle's first book for young readers, The Giggler Treatment, appeared on the New York Times bestseller list and was nominated for the Book Sense Children's Book of the Year Award. Its sequel, Rover Saves Christmas, was published in 2001, followed by The Meanwhile Adventures in 2004. He is the author of many books for adults, including Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha, the winner of the Booker Prize; The Woman Who Walked into DoorsA Star Called Henry; the Barrytown trilogy (The CommitmentsThe Snapper, and The Van); Rory and Ita and most recently, Oh, Play That Thing. He lives in Dublin, Ireland.
